The Physician
George Augustine Koromia, MD, MMCi, FACC is an adult cardiologist integrating multimodality advanced cardiac imaging with clinical informatics — personalized, precise cardiovascular care. He serves as Chief Medical Informatics Officer for Firelands Health in Sandusky, Ohio, a role that draws together his informatics training, health IT consulting years, and ABPM board certification in Clinical Informatics.
He completed a Level III fellowship in Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging (CT & MRI) at the University of Kentucky Gill Heart and Vascular Institute and his Cardiology fellowship at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, where he had earlier served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine and built the residency’s end-to-end academic curriculum. His internal medicine training was at the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine; his graduate education in Management & Clinical Informatics at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where he was a Fuqua Scholar. In a prior life he consulted on clinical informatics, interoperability, and health policy at Lantana Consulting Group.
